Audition Press Release:
New London Theatre announces Open Auditions for "Pump Boys & Dinettes" on Saturday, October 24th from 2:00-5:00pm
and Sunday, October 25th from 6:00-8:00pm.
"Pump Boys & Dinettes" is being directed by Scott Rousseau and produced by John Berlo.
Auditions will include a song of your choosing no longer than one (1) minute in length. Provide your own CD accompaniment. A prepared monologue is not needed. A cold read will be given at the audition.
"Pump Boys & Dinettes" is a musical concert which tells the story of Jim, Jackson, LM and friends who work at the Pump Boys Gas Station, and the Cupp Sisters (and don’t forget Mama!) who are waitresses at the "Double Cupp Diner" across the way, and they’re all located somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, North Carolina. The music is mostly from the country rock and pop genres. This foot stompin’-hand clappin’ musical concert is sure to please anyone south of the Mason-Dixon line.
"Pump Boys & Dinettes" requires strong singers who can also do harmony. We request only singers 16 and over audition. The cast will consist of 4 men and 4 women.
New London Theatre will present “Pump Boys & Dinettes” opening on February 12th, 2010 and continuing through February 28th, 2010. Shows are performed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each weekend during the duration.
Shows are performed at New London Theatre: 2485 East Main Street, Snellville, GA 30078.
